Transmission Damage is Cool

When I was a teen, I used to hotrod around town with all my friends. We were all into foreign and domestic automotive repair, and we thought we were so cool. One of the coolest things to do was to do burnouts. Some guys would even compare how long their tire marks went along the street before they stopped.
Everyone already knows that at that age you think you are invincible. Well, unfortunately at that age you also think that your car is invincible. No one really considers how much strain and stress burning out puts on their clutch, transmission, and even their driveshafts and differential. In fact, in some circles it’s almost even a mark of manliness to do some damage to your car while burning out. Of course, what they fail to realize is that Houston transmission repair isn’t something to be taken lightly — abusing your car can create the need for some majorly time-consuming and expensive repairs.
I was friends with one guy who actually dropped his driveshaft in the street one night. Wasn’t that a crazy night! The bolts had just come loose, but that meant that he had to get underneath his car and fix it on the side of the road in the middle of the night. Of course, I got suckered into helping.
Somehow, when I said I had a thing for Asian automotive repair, that wasn’t quite what I meant!
