You need to know that I have loved water skiing for years.  I have been using my father’s old boat, as I did not have the money for my own, but paid him for upkeep and use.  What I don’t have to tell you is how bad the economy is right now.  Back in November I lost my job.  I can tell you it’s been a long five months without a real paycheck.  The only good news is that boating season has been over all this time, so I have not missed anything.

Needing a job, and thinking about all the years I have working on my father’s boat, you can imagine how happy I was when the marine supply store he shops at had a sign in the window.  Within a week I had the job.  I have now been there two weeks.  We carry Evinrude parts, OMC parts, Johnson parts, and about every other maker, too.  I’m just happy I get a nice discount on the parts for my outboard parts.  I’m happy with my pay, though it’s less than what I was making before.  But, I’m working again.  And the best part is that I get to spend the summer out on the lake skiing again.
