I am thinking about trying to find a business partner. I’ve had business partners in the past, though, and I know that there are pros and cons to working with someone else. I’m not entirely convinced that the pros are worth the cons even though I’m considering venturing back into a partnership.

The main problem that I had with past business partners was that it was tough to find someone who I could really trust. Business partners need to be able to trust one another to do their respective parts of the job efficiently and effectively. Good communication helps with this but in the end you often discover that the two of you just weren’t on the same page that you thought that you were on.

On the other hand, it really is nice to have someone to share the burdens of business with. My last business had serious debt problems. We had to do a business debt negotiation which was a tough thing for me to go through because I tend to have money issues. It really helped to have my business partner there during the whole business debt reduction thing. So I do know that there are benefits to having a business partner. I just have to figure out how to reduce the negative aspects of it if I’m going to try it again.
