There are pros and cons to working at home. There is no time of year when this becomes more apparent than over the holidays. Both my husband and I are finding ourselves working from home during the Christmas season and there are some things that we love about it but some things that we don’t like at all.

My husband often works from home. He works remotely for a Tampa online marketing company doing the Tampa SEO even though we aren’t based in Florida. He sometimes takes trips there to work with the team but mostly he works from his home office. I do writing from home so I’m home most of the time as well.

During the holidays this has been a great thing since we’ve been able to both be home with the kids while they are off of school. We’ve been able to welcome house guests into our home for the holidays and to plan a trip for the beginning of the year. We can take our work with us so we’re flexible enough to do these things.

Unfortunately, this also means that we always seem to be working while everyone else is having fun. It’s so easy to just sign online while everyone’s setting up the tree or making Christmas dinner and then hours get lost to the Internet and to work while everyone else has a grand old time. Pros and cons … that’s what life is all about!
