Does aerial photography fascinate you? Are you a photographer who now wants to dabble in the lucrative world of aerial mapping and photography? Well, then you are probably aware that there are many different platforms available. Arguably two of the best aircraft platforms to use are airplanes and helicopters.
Benefits of Airplanes
Some of the benefits to using airplanes for aerial photography include:
· Easily Accessibility. Airplanes tend to be easier to rent or purchase than helicopters. You can go to a flight school and rent one, or perhaps you even know someone who owns a small airplane.
· Safety Reasons: Many people feel much safer and secure in an airplane as opposed to a helicopter.
Benefits of Helicopters
Some of the benefits for helicopters usage include:
- Better Views. Unlike airplanes, you can fly with a helicopter’s door removed. This will give to almost complete freedom to use your camera in any situation. With airplanes, you have to shoot around a wing or strut.
- Altitude Levels. Helicopters can legally fly any altitude as long as there are no hazards or obstructions in the way. They can fly as low or high as you would like.
So, make the decisions yourself. Many would agree that aerial photographs are perfect no matter which platform you use.
