It seems that most people I have met over the years have all had something that they have collected.  For some, their passion is a stamp collection, for others, deer antlers.  But I would have to say that I have been different than anyone I know – I collect gold.

It may sound silly, but I am one of those gold buyers that is passionate about what he buys.  I love the feel of gold on my skin, and I could stare at the beauty of it for days on end.  Don’t get me wrong, gold is beautiful, but I also realize that it has value.

And for me, since I have been buying it up for the past decade, now is time for me to cash it in.  Many of the pieces I bought over that time are now worth three or four times what I paid for them, which is a good return on investment.

Even though the monetary reward will be great, I think it will be hard to let a portion of my collection go.  But if it means that I can have the opportunity to buy those luxuries of life that I desire, then it is well worth the sacrifice.
