I met a guy online who is a dentist in DC.  Well, he CLAIMS that he is.  How can I find out for sure?  I’m new to this online dating stuff, and before I go to far in conversation with this guy-let alone going out on a limb to meet him-I want to find out just how truthful he is. 

Should I actually just call this place that does sedation dentistry in Washington DC?  I mean, how do you do that?  Pose as a creditor or something?  Actually I think I’d rather just try to check him out on my own on the internet, but I never have had any luck hunting down people that way.  You have to buy into People Search services, and I don’t want to do that.  I’ve heard of people actually just Googling people, but all I ever get is the barest of information, and besides, this guy has a really common name.  Most of the time, Google just sends me to one of those pay-for-service sites.  But you hear about it all the time, so can somebody out there give me a hint as to how I can check up on the specifics of this guys without putting out any money?
