Even though I usually have weekends off, this is the one time of year I don’t.  Now, I know that most people would have worked weekends right up to Christmas, but we work on the weekends for two weeks after that for one reason: to get ready for the trade shows in January.

Our little renovation company has had a trade show display at the home builders show in January for the past five years.  I know that it might seem like a strange time of year to have one, but it has proven that many people save their Christmas money so that they can spend it on home renovations in January.

But before we attend the trade show, there is a lot of work to do.  We try to have a different setup each year which takes a lot of creativity on our part.  This year we are trying to setup a pop up display to give our booth more of a wow factor.

We should have everything done by next weekend and be ready for the show.  I hope that I get to go this year as it is a nice break from the office.

Well, I should get going – we are starting to work on the display in an hour.
