It is really hard to sell a home in some parts of the country right now. The only people who are buying homes seem to be investors. If they aren’t interested in your home then you may find it tough to make a real estate sale. There are some buyers out there, though. You just have to get creative in order to find them.

One of the creative things that I’ve heard about people doing lately is using direct mailing lists to advertise homes for sale. They purchase consumer mailing lists of people who would potentially be interested in buying a home. They then create an advertisement explaining all of the information about the home that is for sale. This is mailed to everyone on the list. Sometimes one of those people will bite and the home will sell. It’s a pretty creative way of advertising real estate.

Another thing that I heard of which was creative was that someone advertised a coupon for their property. It was a luxury property. They reduced the price by $1 million for anyone who bought the house using the coupon. I don’t know if it resulted in a sale but it sure managed to get a lot of attention for the property. These creative folks are the ones selling homes today.
