Last year I did some research in updating my home with new windows.  I did this because most of mine were hard to open, did not stay open, or did not keep out as much air as I wanted to.  I had two main places to look at replacing and they were my patio door and my bay window.  Both of these have different needs of course.  Besides the obvious that one is a door and the other is a window, they also were both from different eras so I was not sure how easy to replace them.

I was in luck, both of these window replacements  were pretty easy to replace.  The patio door had more options than I knew what to do.  I could do several different styles to update my indoor living area.  I settled upon one that really enhanced my interior.  It was made of a warm dark wood, which highlighted the wood floors I had put in the year before.  The bay window was also replaced.  Bay windows let in a ton of light, so I made sure to buy the right one.  If you do not get a good one, what is the point?
