A Lesson in Fly Fishing Preparedness

If you’re planning a trip to go fly fishing, north Georgia is a great place to go. It stays warm for more time of the year than it does up farther north. Trips are also possible in the winter. Whether taking a fly fishing trip in the summer or winter, or anytime in between, it is necessary to be prepared with the right equipment. Sunglasses are important, because they block the glare from the water, and you’ll be better able to see the fly as you use it. A hat also helps protect you from the sun and don’t forget sunscreen, even in the fall and winter.
Whether fly fishing during any month in Georgia, waders are important because river and lake waters can be chilly at any time. In winter, something to keep you warm under the waders is also important. A neck gator and ski cap are beneficial too, as is a rain jacket. If you follow these rules, then you will have a great trout fishing or even the best bass fishing trip you’ve ever had. Also, always remember to bring the camera. You never know when you’ll see something that would make a great wall-framed picture.
